Bring your dream remodeling project to life with our vast industry knowledge and 20+ years’ experience specializing in interior renovations and exterior renovations, including luxury kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling, basement remodeling and additions. With each renovation, we make the experience positive and stress-free, from selecting flooring and cabinetry, to making the installation process smooth from beginning to end!

Our company evolved from a once small company into a complete team of imaginative designers and highly skilled old world master craftsmen. Our reputation for honesty, reliability and innovation means that each renovation is one of a kind. To us, there’s no such thing as a cookie-cutter job! Details make the difference when the best designs come together, and we are sticklers for getting the smallest details right.

When it comes to kitchen design and bathroom design, our team is adept at coming up with creative design elements that add style and functionality.

Bob Potocar
COO

With both a strong desire to solve complex problems and an eye for detail, Bob loves the challenge of home remodeling. That desire to create runs deep, beginning with memories of his grandfather’s workshop in their basement in Mentor, where he grew up. Over the course of 19 years, Bob has spent his entire career in the home remodeling industry in many different capacities. As President and Owner of Guru Granite, Bob gained a stellar reputation for his attention to detail on bathroom and kitchen remodeling projects. His natural tendencies for problem-solving give Acclaim a serious advantage when it comes to designing and managing a remodel. You’ll find Bob balancing his time between overseeing the design process and managing the execution out in the field.

Bob is a proud husband to Becky and father to three young boys. They live in Chesterland, where you will often find them enjoying the outdoors.

Mike Pirc
President

Bringing 31 years of experience in the residential and commercial renovation industry to Acclaim, Mike credits his success to living up to an ideal of always treating the client’s home like it is his own, and everyone who works for him follows the same thinking. A key part of his job role lies in fostering relationships and making connections. He says his favorite part of the job is meeting people, finding out about their story, and taking a space that might be awful to something wonderful. Two words that describe him best are loyal and trustworthy.

This devoted husband, father of two and grandfather of two grew up in Euclid and now resides in Concord.

When not at work, you’ll find Mike cheering on Cleveland sports teams. This die-hard Browns fan has held season tickets for the past 34 years and faithfully attends games (even in the regrettable seasons…).

Chris Michalakes
Vice President

Chris has over 20 years experience in the Residential Renovation Industry. A background in Finish Carpentry and as a Project Manager, he has a eye for and attention to detail. The majority of his time has been spent working closely with Homeowners and Local Architects in the Custom Home Market. He has a passion to get to know the Client, their needs and take cohesive collaborative approach to bring projects to completion. At Acclaim, Chris will continue to cultivate the Relationship Foundations with Local Architects and Repeat Clients he has established over the years. This will allow us to expand our services to a broader range of clients and projects.

Faithful and Committed is what defines Chris best as a person. He and his Wife Leah have 5 Children, residing in Middlefield, Ohio. Spending time with his Family, serving as an active member of Orwell Bible Church and playing Golf is where you’ll find him during his free time.

Mari L. DiLalla
Office Manager/Project Coordinator

With more than 27 years in the construction industry, Mari’s experience comes from the design and scheduling of inground swimming pools down in Florida to office management and the scheduling of new construction here in Ohio. Missing her family, Mari moved back to Ohio to be near family and the 4 seasons. Mari love’s the challenge of her job, and the class and quality exemplified at Acclaim. Communication and making our clients happy is key she says. When she is not at work, your will find her volunteering wherever she can or dabbling in acrylic painting. Mari also loves to cook, bake and spend time with family and friends.

Bill Lydic
Field Supervisor

Before joining the Acclaim team 18 years ago, Bill owned his own home remodeling business for 10 years. His goals are to be sure the customers are treated professionally and receive high quality work. In his spare time, you’ll find Bill in his garden during the summer months or playing Bocce Ball.

Lisa Eldridge
NCIDQ

As an Interior Designer with Acclaim Renovations, Lisa brings almost 30 years of experience to the team. After graduating from the University of Cincinnati, she went on to work as an interior designer with Hospitality and Commercial firms. After working on projects across the country, she later started her own design studio and focused on residential and senior living projects. Lisa’s love for the interior design profession stems from the personal and unique nature of each project. She enjoys the process of discovering the client’s needs and creating beautiful and functional spaces that engage and inspire.

Lisa is a NCIDQ, National Council for Interior Design, certificate holder and is a two time past president of the American Society of interior Designers, Ohio North Chapter.

Lisa is married and has three grown children. She really misses high school sports! Her free time is often spent with the family at Sunday dinners - cooking, celebrating and laughing.

Leigha Secue
Designer

As the designer at Acclaim, Leigha considers herself lucky to share her passion with our clients. She has a true love for helping bring design ideas into reality! Her love of home remodeling started at a young age, when she would help her dad around his job sites (most of the time this consisted of pulling out nails, sanding, and odd jobs that she couldn’t mess up!), and has continued throughout her adult life. Leigha enjoys spending her free time at home with her husband, two dogs, and her chickens! Nothing makes her happier than being surrounded by family and friends. She loves gardening, hiking, and paddleboarding, but also likes curling up with a good book for a relaxing evening.

Patty Moss
Bookkeeper

One of my favorite things about working here is the amazing people I get to work with. It truly is a joy to work with others that are passionate about the customers and company.

I would describe myself as committed to both faith and family. Spending time with my husband and children, all 11 of them, is where I am during my free time. I love reading and spending family vacations near the beach.

FAQ

  • How do I know that this contractor is going to complete the job in a professional, workmanlike manner?

Check with BBB, past clients, website – look at client comments and pics of work.

  • Is it important that a contractor be fully insured, bonded, and pay into Workman’s Compensation?

Absolutely demand to see updated copies of all documents! There are too many stories of homeowners having to pay damages if an alleged contractor does not carry all of the proper insurances.

  • Does it matter if the contractor uses in-house/employed tradesmen or sub-contractors?

When a contractor utilizes in-house tradesmen there is accountability and control of quality and timeliness PLUS all employed tradesmen are covered under all insurances. When sub-contractors are hired many aspects are affected such as timeliness. The contractor can fully control its employees, not so with “subs”. However, there are times that subs must be used for tasks such as excavating, running drain & water lines to a new addition, possibly rough framing of a large addition, etc. Acclaim has spent years creating relationships with preferred sub-contractors  - they show up on time, have high standards, and get paid on time which is one of the most important reasons subs work so well with Acclaim.

  • Will Acclaim finish the job without leaving for weeks at a time? (this is a common problem in the industry)

As mentioned above, Acclaim completes projects in a timely manner which means that we finish what we start! This problem occurs often in this industry because of poor planning. Your project will not begin until the major materials (lumber package, cabinets, windows, doors, flooring, etc.) have been ordered and are either in Acclaim’s warehouse or a local vendor’s warehouse.

  • Do we need to be home during the construction? If not, how do we communicate?

The simple answer is no, most homeowners are working and cannot stay home for 4-12 weeks or whatever the duration of the project may be. This is why Acclaim utilizes a project management portal called Co-Construct. This program tracks and documents including, but not limited to, Specs & Selections, Financial, Questions & Messages, Job Progress Pictures, Change Orders, and much more. Communication is key to a successful project which is why Co-Construct was brought onboard 9 years ago – no more lost emails, no more “he said, she said”, no more unexpected costs at the end of the project. All additional work, and cost, is agreed to by all parties prior to any work being started that is not itemized in the original proposal.
